Wool Underwear Base Layer
The base layer is the one that you build your wardrobe off of. If you are goint to be outdoors a lot, in the Winter, you should have many layers of clothing to work from. A good base layer makes it much easier to stay comfortable.
A good wool base layer is a good way to go. The wool feels so soft to the skin, it will allow your skin to breathe, and wool keeps you warmer than other materials when wet. Imagine climbing a rock face. You might sweat during the ascent, even if it is very cold outside. Wool will help wick away the perspiration and keep you warm once you reach the top and take a breather. There aren't any materials that can handle the base layer as good as wool.
