Merino Wool Underwear
Merino wool is what wool underwear is made of. The reason is that Merino wool is not scratchy. It is finely woven and can make a light garment that is very warm, soft, and comfortable.
Merino wool underwear goes under strict selection criteria. The wool must be inspected under a microscope and must be finer than a human hair. In addition, the Merino sheep is a separate breed that is bred specifically for fine wool products. Almost all of the Merino wool in the world comes from New Zealand and Australia. Many years ago, someone got the idea to take some of the fine Merino sheep from Spain to New Zealand and Australia. The climate there is perfect for the sheep and the rest is history.
